Free 18" Doll Pattern, pants

IMPORTANT: These are American style doll clothes patterns. They are designed to be printed on letter size paper. Seam allowance is included in all pattern pieces and the measurements are imperial (inch).

This pattern is especially suitable for beginner seamstresses, you need only a small piece of fabric, elastic and you are set to go.

The pants, these are a wider design, consist of 1 single pattern piece. Because the pattern piece is large it’s split over two pages. A complete description explaining how to sew the pants, with full-color picture is included with the pattern.

I made these pants especially for younger girls. The pants are a little wider and easy to put on with the elastic waistband. The shirt can be found in MiloMila Jeans and Shirt pattern, MD1801.

The reason I designed these pants is that I really wanted doll pants where the hem was straight. With dolls that have this shape, it means that either the waist or hem line needs to be curved otherwise the legs will be longer on the outsides. I decided to curve the hem line and now the pants are straight : )

I used very light weight denim for the doll pants. Please make sure that you wash fabrics carefully before sewing to make sure that they do not bleed because bleeding fabrics will always damage dolls.

The dolls in the photos are my personal Pleasant Company® American Girl® dolls, 18” tall.

I have designed these clothing patterns especially to fit these dolls but PLEASE NOTE that my patterns are NOT official Pleasant Company® or American Girl® doll clothing patterns. I create all patterns by hand at home and I have no affiliation in any way or with any doll manufacturer whatsoever.
